Privacy Policy

If you email NPCabins or submit a form, we receive the information you choose to send. The site is prepared for hosting through ChatGPT Sites, using Cloudflare infrastructure. Form submissions are stored in the site's Cloudflare D1 database for NPCabins to review.

Information you provide

Owner inquiries, newsletter signups, correction requests, and email messages may include your name, email, cabin listing, business details, and other information you provide voluntarily.

When form email notifications are enabled, Resend processes a copy of the submitted information to notify NPCabins. Contact email is forwarded through Namecheap to a Gmail inbox monitored by NPCabins.

Analytics and click tracking

ChatGPT Sites provides aggregate visitor and page-view statistics. NPCabins also records daily aggregate counts of form submissions, featured profile loads, directory filters, search interactions, planner use, saved-page actions, and outbound booking and owner links. Counts can include a cabin identifier, the relevant public NPCabins page or referring page, and a predefined action category. These conversion counts do not contain your email, submitted message, typed search text, prices entered in the cost calculator, trip dates, group notes, or saved trip list. Counts can include repeat activity and do not establish whether a booking was made.

To limit automated abuse, the form and event endpoints temporarily store salted hashes of a network address with request counts. Those counters expire after at most two hours and are removed when the endpoints next receive traffic. Do not send sensitive information through forms.

Newsletter delivery and retention

A newsletter signup records your request to receive the monthly NPCabins Dispatch. Resend sends a confirmation email; you join the list only after choosing Confirm subscription. NPCabins stores the request source, consent wording version, confirmation time, and delivery status in its database. Resend stores confirmed subscribers’ email addresses and Dispatch preferences to deliver the newsletter. Unconfirmed links expire after 48 hours.

You can unsubscribe using the link on your confirmation page or in any Dispatch issue. This changes your Dispatch preference; other email preferences in the same provider account are preserved. Form records and confirmation history remain available for owner review and export until they are removed. You can request removal of a submission or signup using the contact address below. NPCabins does not sell form submissions or use them as public website content.

Saved trip board

The trip board stores named trips, saved pages, planner results, dates, and notes in your browser's local storage. NPCabins does not receive that list through the trip-board feature. Creating a share link puts a snapshot of your trip details and notes in the link; anyone you give the link to can read it. Downloaded trip files also include these details. Sharing and importing are your choice, and imported trips are separate copies. Avoid including sensitive information in a shared plan.

Third-party links

NPCabins links to Airbnb, NPS.gov, Recreation.gov, and other third-party sites. Their privacy practices are controlled by their own policies.
